today I took some test shots for an upcoming shoot I have with my friend’s band. Ive had a few lighting ideas bouncing around in my head along with a look I was after, I think today gave me a solid foundation to build upon for the actual shoot. The “before” shot is straight out of camera, the “after” shot with the help of photochop is a very rough idea of what I want the final product to look like.

I think I’m safe from committing horribly stupid acts of blondeness it comes back to bite me in the ass…
You see when it comes to cooking I’m alright at it, but when it comes to baking or anything that involves dough the light at the end of the tunnel suddenly dims. Case in point tonight I made wholewheat homemade pizza, it was rather smooth sailing combining all the ingredients, and having the dough rise in the comfy confines of my oven. The trouble was when I started to put it all together and pre-heat the oven, ten minutes later wondering what the funny smell was coming from I opened the oven only to realize I forgot to take the other bowl of dough out, and on top of that the towel that was covering it instantly caught on fire as soon as I opened the oven door. Im fairly certain the gods of baking have put a curse on me.
At least the other half of the dough was alright so dinner was still had… thankfully.

a holy crap moment really, driving south down Pacific Coast Highway before dawn searching the side of the road for that perfect spot to stop and take in a sunrise. I found my spot, tripod and camera in hand ready to witness by far the most beautiful sunrise Ive ever seen, the photo just does not do it justice, although I almost fell off a cliff trying to get it.
